Dear Friends of German Comedy,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the predicted post-Brexit hyperinflation seems to have started. Tickets for Leeds – Barnsley on the weekend were a staggering 42 quid! To be fair, if you bought them in advance it was a much more modest 37 quid.
Even allowing for the fact Leeds are in the unfortunate position of having to feed their chairman, rather than the other way round, you wonder how they arrive at such grotesque prices.
Or maybe it’s a sign that the people in the Northern Powerhouse are actually doing considerably better than mainstream media make you believe.
Turns out there’s no bad news after all!
Have a great month and long live Massimo Cellino
