I hope you’re all enjoying the incredible weather.
I went up to Aberdeen last week for a conference on intervention and coiled tubing, my specialist subject should I ever go on Mastermind.
It was boiling hot even in that part of Britain and the locals were clearly struggling. A kebab shop I walked past had two police vans outside and the coppers were taking witness statements following a good old fashioned ding dong over some chips. At 6.30pm!
This email is a quick sign-off for the summer. Normal service will resume in September when the Acid Wehn tour restarts, the unbiased look at climate change. Dates at the bottom of the page.
Until then I recommend the weekly instalments of Wood Wehn In The Membrane! This brand new podcast sees me team up with former Eastenders star and all-round good egg Jake Wood. Jake and I spotted a gap in the podcast market: two middle-aged men explaining what’s what.
‘Death’ is my favourite episode so far. And don’t worry, the sound quality will improve. We recorded a few to get the ball rolling but didn’t quite know how to get the sound right but I think going forward that’s now sorted.
