Dear Friends of German Comedy,
I hope you’ve had a good month!
There’s been no shortage of good news over the past few weeks.
Eternal peace in the Middle East and Andrew being relieved of his titles to mention just two.
What we’re still waiting for is the late Queen being posthumously stripped of her nomination for the Foxy Bingo Mum Of The Year award in 2011.
I always thought she was a strange choice to make the shortlist.
Admittedly she has furnished even the most unemployable of her brood with grace and favour mansions, life-long financial security and use of a really good document shredder, so she probably deserved not just a nomination but the actual award.
Then again, surely “Mum of the Year” should honour a mum people can emulate. And doing your mothering through hundreds of domestic staff is not something that will make many people go: “Good idea! I’ll be doing that from now on! Can’t believe I never thought of it!”
If, however, this IS you and you’re at a loss on what to do with your new-won freedom you could always come and see me on tour over and over again!
