Dear Friends of German Comedy,
I hope you’re all having a good time.
This week is Acid Wehn’s final hurrah for 2025 with dates in Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Harrogate before all UK theatres are being taken over for the winter by professional crossdressers and their panto performances.
Speaking of traditional Christmas activities, Jesus’s birthday is celebrated on the same date every year, December 25th. Jesus’s death, however, is mourned on Good Friday, which falls on a different date every year. How can one date be fixed and the other flexible?!? Something isn’t adding up.
It’s tough questions such as this that Eastenders’ Jake Wood and I are trying to get our heads around on our weekly podcast, Wood Wehn In The Membrane. All episodes can be found on www.woodwehn.com or wherever you get your podcasts.
Anyway, enjoy December and see you back on the road in late February 2026, when Christmas is a distant nightmare and all this gaudy frivolity is BEEEEHIIIIND UUUUUUS…
All the best
Henning
PS: Please find below a list of upcoming gigs. It would be great to see you at one of those. More dates are still being added.
Please note the NEWCASTLE gig was erroneously listed as sold out until it became apparent 150 seats had been allocated to a ticketing agency who weren’t even aware they had been given any. Consequently, there’s now still some great seats left. Link below.
